First Day of School

Not really first day of school! One of my favorite tricks to do to make my dress shirts more interesting is to add a bow tie using a sash from another garment or even just an old scrap ribbon laying around. I have a whole collection of ribbons just for this purpose! For a white shirt, I like to use a black or white neck tie! My homework is get back to all your comments and emails and visit all your blogs!

I'm wearing a zip-up sweater from Nordstrom's B.P., J.Crew button down shirt, pinstripe skirt with buttons and suspenders from H&M, Converse shoes, Capezio black tights, and black sash used as tie.

    Seeing you wear converse shoes making them look so perfect with this outfit, need to get a pair too.

    I only have one pair in high cuts.

  9. Oh, my! you look ADORABLE! I love that skirt! And yes I have the same tip for the shirts, add a ribbon! Sometimes I use an elegant pin in the middle of it, loos so aristocratic...!

  17. Hi Patty Ann!! You have no idea how much your comment totally made my day yesterday! I was smiling from ear-to-ear which my tennis friends thought so weird coz I just lost 17 games to them! That's how happy you made me, big thank you hugz, mwah mwah mwah!!

    Now about the lack of posting. I wish I'm as creative as you are and finding inspiration to post something on a regular basis! I think my limited creativity will only allow me a 2-3 posts per week, max. =(

    Case in point: this bow tie shirt trick post you have here! I wouldn't have thought of it. I always use ribbons as belts but not this way and you just gave me an idea, sweetie!!
