I really want to stop by some of the stores tonight! Don't know if I'll have time though...

And today mark's the first day of the much awaited NY Fashion Week!!! Here's the schedule, and I've circled the ones I'm looking forward to most in red.

Photobucket

And I seriously LOVE The City, but since when did Whitney Port go from the intern that works backstage to fashion week center stage??? Soooo not legit. Whitney's been upped right next to DVF herself!

And finally, I got a few comments suggesting a tough-feminine play on the dress from my post Bride Wars. Pairing it with a leather jacket was my first thought.

Photobucket

This is the back. It's very revealing :p Can you see the cutouts in the front part of the dress too?

Photobucket

My ballet friends and I cut up our old stockings and use them as arm warmers. "Convertible stockings" that ballet dancers wear have a hole at the bottom so you can wear them as footed stockings or footless tights. They make for extra long, semi-gloved sleeves!

I've tried to add my own rips, has someone cut up their old stockings before??? You can only see the holes, not so much the rips, which I wanted originally. Please show me how to do it!!!

Photobucket

I'm wearing a lot of bling, makes me very happy.

Photobucket

I'm wearing a dress by Forever 21, leather jacket by BB Dakota (love this label!!!), ripped up Capezio stockings worn as sheer top, peep toe booties from Forever 21, and lots of random jewelry from LA.

That was a long post! Making up for the past few days of MIA. Thank you so much for all the great comments, I hope you enjoy this post :)

  3. You look fierce! I've heard that if you take your tights and shred them on a cheese grater that they will turn out good...? Try it, maybe and tell me if it works!

  13. Patty Annnnnnn!!!

I'm so happy you did a back-to-back post of this cream dress! The look is so different for both; goes to show how creative you really are! If I'm your big sis, I'd be so proud of you! Oh hey, I may not be your big sis but I'm so proud of you!!

My roommate from way back was also a ballerina and she taught me this cut-up stocking trick too! I will try it someday! Love how yours have rips, holes, run and all, it makes it even edgier! ...But this semi-glove cut on the fingers, she didn't teach me! =(

And yeh, I was having the same problem as Valencia Lia with your post last night. I was about to comment and poof, it was gone. Probably some bloglovin' error.

    Have a happy Friday!

(I played tennis tonight and was NOT the last, I was 3rd of 8! mwahahahaa!)

    XO,
    Your big (blogger) sis =)
