That view of LA would be even nicer without the haze. Is that observation platform up high enough to be above it all? I see they have a "Public Star Party" scheduled for September 18th from 2:00-9:45 PM and an astronomy update called "All Space Considered" on October 1st from 7:30-9:15 PM.

LA *sigh* how I love that city. I was there this summer, didn't go to the Observatory, but it looks really awesome. And they filmed Rebel Without A Cause there :D.
